Who We Are

SawSand UK was established by Mathew Davies in 2024, drawing on a decade of experience with equine bedding. From our family-run sawmill in the foothills of Moel Famau, we produce the freshest, highest-quality bedding, tried and tested by riders and yard owners across North Wales and the Northwest.

Our customers range from recreational riders to professional and Olympic competitors, so you can be confident that our bedding performs as promised. We deliver to private stables or large livery yards. We have developed two distinct bedding options to meet different stabling needs, both of which are produced to the highest standards.

SawSand® can be used on its own or as a base with another bedding of your choice if you prefer a deeper bed.
Yes, absolutely. A small delivery charge may apply, depending on your postcode. You are also welcome to collect the exact number of bags that you need.
Each 95L bag of SawSand® weighs approximately 17kg. Each 95L bag of SawSand+Shavings weighs approximately 14kg.
Yes, our bags are made from recycled plastic and can also be recycled. If you would like to return any unwanted bags with your next order, please pass them back to the delivery driver, and we will arrange for them to be recycled.
Once you have submitted your order, we will contact you by email to arrange your delivery or collection date. Payment requests will be included in this email.
For deliveries, we require payment in advance by BACS. If you are collecting your order, you may pay in cash or by card.
